These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Authors Everest website and any services you request or purchase from Authors Everest (“Authors Everest,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, contacting us, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Authors Everest provides writing-related support services such as editing, proofreading, formatting, content writing, design support, publishing support, marketing support, and other related services as described on our website or in a written proposal (“Services”). The exact scope, timeline, deliverables, and pricing will be confirmed in writing before work begins.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes (including sales, rankings, reviews, platform approvals, or audience growth). Results depend on many factors outside our control.
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
Attempt to disrupt or damage the website (including via malware or unauthorized access)
Copy, scrape, or misuse site content in violation of applicable laws
Use the website to submit unlawful, harmful, or infringing materials
We may restrict access to the website if we believe misuse is occurring.
Any quote, package description, or proposal we provide is based on the information you share and may require adjustment if the scope changes. A project is considered confirmed only when:
You approve the scope and price in writing, and
Any required deposit or initial payment is received.
If you request changes that expand the scope (for example, additional pages, extra revisions, new formats, or added deliverables), we may issue a revised estimate or add-on invoice before continuing.
To complete Services on time, you agree to:
Provide accurate information, materials, and instructions
Respond within a reasonable time to questions, approvals, and revision requests
Confirm final deliverables before publication or distribution
Ensure you have the rights to any content you provide (text, images, trademarks, excerpts, testimonials, or third-party materials)
Delays in approvals or missing materials may affect timelines.
Revisions (if included) will be defined in your proposal or package terms. A “revision” typically means adjustments to an agreed draft based on your feedback—not a complete change of direction or new content request.
You are responsible for reviewing deliverables carefully. Once you approve final files (or once deliverables are used publicly), further edits may require an additional fee.
Pricing and payment terms are confirmed in writing for each project. Unless otherwise stated:
Deposits are required to schedule work
Remaining balances are due according to the agreed milestones or delivery schedule
Late payments may pause work until the account is brought current
You are responsible for any applicable taxes or third-party platform fees (for example, hosting, domain registration, advertising spend, marketplace fees, or printing costs).
Because our Services involve time, planning, and customized work, refunds are not automatic. If you cancel a project:
You are responsible for payment for work completed up to the cancellation date
Any non-refundable deposits (if stated in your proposal) remain non-refundable
If a refund is offered, it will be assessed case-by-case based on the work completed and any third-party costs already incurred
We encourage clients to raise concerns early so we can address them promptly.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
Upon full payment, you own the final deliverables created specifically for your project (such as written content or design files provided as final deliverables)
We may retain internal working files, drafts, and process documents
You grant us a limited license to use any materials you provide, only as necessary to perform the Services
Portfolio use: We will not display your project publicly as a sample without your permission. If you grant permission, you can withdraw it in writing for future use.
Some Services may involve third-party platforms (for example, website builders, publishing platforms, email services, analytics tools, or advertising platforms). We do not control these services and are not responsible for:
Platform outages, policy changes, or account suspensions
Delays caused by third-party review processes
Fees charged by third parties
You are responsible for maintaining your own third-party accounts unless we explicitly agree otherwise in writing.
We treat client materials and project details as confidential and use them only to provide the Services. We may share information internally with team members or with trusted service providers strictly as needed to complete your project.
Confidentiality does not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.
Our website and Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We make no guarantees that:
The website will be uninterrupted or error-free
Content will meet the requirements of every platform, publisher, or marketplace
Any specific commercial outcome will occur (including sales, rankings, or visibility)
You are responsible for final publishing decisions and compliance with platform rules.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Authors Everest will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities.
Our total liability for any claim related to Services will not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific Service giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these limits may not fully apply to you.
You agree to defend and indemnify Authors Everest from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
Materials you provide that infringe third-party rights
Your misuse of deliverables or the website
Your violation of applicable laws or platform rules
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date. If changes are significant, we may provide additional notice on the website.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located in [County/State], unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Before filing a formal claim, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes in good faith through written notice and reasonable discussion.
